Dear Members,
At this time of year, we would normally be holding our Annual General Meeting to present the year’s accounts to you. This year, due to the impact of COVID-19 pandemic and current credit unions legislation, we will be unable to hold a physical meeting – a situation shared with all other credit unions.
Current legislation does not allow for any other form of a meeting but the Government has recently approved a proposal to allow credit unions to postpone their AGMs until 30th April 2021 or to hold AGMs remotely and to provide for different forms of voting in the absence of a physical meeting. They expect to have this legislation in place by the end of the year.
We will pass further information to you as it becomes available.
In the meantime, in the interests of clarity to you, our members, the audited accounts of the credit union will be published on our website shortly.
May I take this opportunity to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a Healthy and Prosperous 2021.
Brian Conroy
CEO
